The Performance indicator
is a normalized chart showing a security's price performance as
a percentage (i.e. the Performance indicator displays the percentage
that the security has increased since the first period). For example,
if the Performance indicator is 20, then the security's price has
increased 20% since the start of the chart. You calculate the Performance
indicator by dividing the change in prices by the first price displayed.
Day trading strategies using this indicator are rare, as the frequency
of the price sampling is too course.
